BK Finds His Superpower

This HEROES Comics issue is an empowering lesson about staying safe when confronted with bullying. A short inspiring, colorful and educational story about safety and self-efficacy, told using superheroes and comic-like illustrations.

This fun to read children’s story, is about a cat who follows the teachings of a mentor named Tessa. In this story, BK the cat finds his inner power when a neighborhood friend named Tommy is confronted with bullying. There is a plot to keep our young readers guessing how, and the child learns safety and self-efficacy at the end.

The moral of the story:

Finding your inner strength will help keep you safe when confronted with bullying.

Self-efficacy refers to an individual's confidence in their ability to complete a task or achieve a goal.
